On behalf of the city of Sydney and her citizens, we hereby inform the public of the fact that all stores selling gems, sheepskin- and kangaroo leather products, will be closed till further notice. Thanks to two lovely ladies from Holland, one of them lives in New Zealand actually, the stores ran completely out of stock. The Sydney Chamber of Commerce wants to honour these ladies by an official nomination for the 'Australian of the Year' contest 2011. Since they are not Australian citizens, we also add a new category to the contest: 'Significant support of the local economy by foreigners'. In case you run into them, please give them a warm hugg. They are best recognized by their lovely hats, fluffy bags, eclatant jewellery and flat wallets.
Verder kan ik u van harte aanbevelen de film Avatar te gaan zien. Maar dan wel in 3D. Het verhaal is het gewone Amerikaanse gezwollen goed versus kwaad met een snufje romantiek, maar die beelden .... in 3D ... echt helemaal geweldig.
We hebben de dag waardig afgesloten met een diner bij de Thai en een voorstelling in the Opera House; Optimism. Vrij naar Candide van Voltaire. Erg leuk en volkomen absurd. Niet al het publiek kwam terug na de pauze......
Het glaasje bubbels in de Opera Bar na afloop maakte het helemaal af.
Roerend afscheid genomen van Gaye. Wat is het toch ook een schatje.
